India all-rounder Shardul Thakur was spotted training at the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) raising speculation that he may join the franchise for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
Images on social media showed Shardul bowling during an open nets sessoin in an LSG training kit. The 33-year-old was unsold for the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Last week, LSG pacer Mayank Yadav was ruled out of the first few games of the season due to an injury. The Delhi bowler, who made his India debut last year, is at the National Cricket Academy for his rehabilitation and will need its clearance before joining the IPL side.
Shardul played for the Chennai Super Kings last season, featuring in nine games and claiming just five wickets at an average of 61.80. He has also played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Rising Pune Supergiant and Punjab Kings over his IPL career and picked 94 wickets.
