Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma became the third fastest Indian to score a century in the history of the Indian Premier League during the game against Punjab Kings on Saturday.
The 24-year-old reached the milestone in 40 deliveries. Yusuf Pathan tops the list as he scored a 37-ball ton back in 2010 against Mumbai Indians.
Abhishek combined with fellow opener Travis Head and decimated the bowlers from the get go as SRH reached 100-run mark in the eighth over.
Powered by skipper Shreyas Iyer’s 36-ball 82, PBKS managed to score a whopping 245/6 at the end of 20 overs.
