Kubbra Sait has wrapped up the dubbing process for her role in Son of Sardaar 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardaar. Sharing a moment from the studio on social media, the actress posted a candid behind-the-scenes photo with the caption “SOS 2 DUBBING DONE,” giving fans a small but exciting glimpse into her latest project.

While details about her character are yet to be revealed, Kubbra’s involvement in a film known for its commercial appeal adds another dimension to her already diverse filmography. The sequel, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, brings back Ajay Devgn in the lead, alongside Mrunal Thakur in a key role. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 25, 2025.
Son of Sardaar 2 marks the return of a franchise that made its mark over a decade ago with a blend of action, comedy, and family drama. The original film, directed by Ashwni Dhir, featured Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Juhi Chawla, and was known for its energetic storytelling and quirky humour. While the first instalment drew inspiration from the Telugu film Maryada Ramanna, the upcoming sequel is expected to bring an original storyline while retaining the core flavour of high-stakes drama and humour.
Kubbra Sait, who rose to fame with her performance in Sacred Games, most recently appeared in Deva where she took on a more serious and intense role. However, adding more diversity to her filmography, Kubbra will exploring other genres in her upcoming projects which includes a comedy film directed by David Dhawan and the second season of the courtroom drama The Trial, where she is expected to reprise a significant role.
With Son of Sardaar 2 too, Sait will be returning to a more commercial comedy space again and fans are excitedly looking forward to seeing how she fits into the narrative of a story that promises action, emotion, and larger-than-life moments. Son of Sardaar 2 is currently in post-production and will release in Hindi across theatres nationwide this year.
