Yashasvi Jaiswal became the seventh Indian opener to register a hundred in England and Australia during Day 1 of the first Test between India and England in Headingley on Friday.
The southpaw joined an exclusive list of Indian opening batters, which includes Vinoo Mankad, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, M. Vijay and KL Rahul.
Playing his first Test match on English soil, Jaiswal combined with Rahul to put up 91 runs for the first wicket to help India take control after being put into bat in the first innings.
The left-hander had scored a hundred Down Under last year, in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series at Perth.
