While a lot of films were made on male friendships, Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding was quite the trendsetter as it explored urban, contemporary female bonds between four childhood friends. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in key roles, the film traces the journey of four friends through adulting, relationships, and marriage. Readers would be aware that the four of them take off to Phuket for a girls’ trip, which proves to be a major turning point in the film as it showcases their camaraderie on a deeper level.

Reminiscing about the fond memories they created in Thailand, director-producer Rhea Kapoor took to Instagram to share unseen behind-the-scene photos and videos. Dropping it on her official social media handle, and shared photos from poignant moments, a fun dance scene of Sonam and Kareena, some pictures with the team, and of course the photo from Kalindi aka Kareena’s sangeet. She captioned it saying, “Veere Forever. Thinking back on a magical shoot in Phuket with my veeres. Only the best times! Shooting this film was like a giant hug from your best friend. None of these pictures have a filter or are touched up, straight from my old phone, pure love”. Actress Shikha Talsania who played the role of Meera, dropped heart emojis showering her love on the post.
Meanwhile, fans couldn’t control their excitement and dropped requests about making a sequel to the chick-flick drama. While we are still waiting on Rhea’s comment about a second instalment, we are glad that the Kapoor girl dropped these sweet memories making us a tad bit nostalgic too! Also starring Sumeet Vyas, Neena Gupta, Vivek Mushran, Manoj Pahwa, among others, Veere Di Wedding hit cinemas on June 1, 2018.
