Vikrant Massey, just a day after causing a stir among fans, has clarified the widespread assumption that he was retiring from acting. He explained that his statement had been misinterpreted by many.

Vikrant Massey clarified that his intention was not to suggest retirement but rather to take a temporary hiatus from the industry.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vikrant Massey addressed the viral ‘retirement’ post from Monday. He clarified that he has no intentions of retiring from acting but wants to take some time to focus on his personal life for now.
Vikrant Massey explained, “I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up… People misread it [the social media post].”
Meanwhile, he made his first public appearance after the Instagram post at the screening of his latest film, The Sabarmati Report, at the Balayogi Auditorium in Parliament on Monday evening. At the event, he discussed the film and his experience watching it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MPs. However, he avoided answering questions about quitting films.
When reporters questioned Vikrant Massey about his Instagram post, he simply walked away without addressing it, leaving his co-star Raashii Khanna to discuss the film.
Vikrant’s Break Announcement On Monday, Vikrant took to Instagram to announce that he would be taking a break from acting after 2025. He wrote, ” The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
Vikrant Massey, who was recently seen in The Sabarmati Report, shared that he is currently filming two projects. He added, “So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between.” His update sent shockwaves through the industry and among fans, who were left wondering what led Vikrant to make this decision.
