The Syed Mushtaq Ali domestic T20 tournament is set to enter its final phase with eight teams left in the reckoning. The quarterfinal matches will be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and the KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur on Wednesday.
Madhya Pradesh, Baroda, Delhi, Vidarbha and Mumbai finished the group stage as toppers and qualified for the quarterfinal directly. Saurashtra was the best second-placed team in the league stages and marked a direct entry to the quarterfinal too.
Bengal and Uttar Pradesh got the better of Chandigarh and Andhra respectively in the preliminary quarterfinals to seal a spot in the last eight. The winners of the four quarterfinal ties will play the semifinal on Friday.
