India held Australia to a draw in the rain-marred third Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Brisbane to keep the series level at 1-1 heading into the final two Tests.
With the stalemate, India remains in third place in the World Test Championship (WTC) table although its PCT dropped to 55.88. Similarly, Australia’s PCT dropped to 58.89 and the Pat Cummins-led side remains second behind leader South Africa.
New Zealand’s win in the final Test at Hamilton moved it above England and Sri Lanka into fourth, although the Lankans still have an outside chance to finished in the top-two if it wins the two-match series against Australia next year.
