After being put to bat, openers Smriti Mandhana and debutant Pratika Rawal put up a 110-run first-wicket partnership. En route to smashing 91 runs, Smriti broke the record for the most international runs in a year in women’s cricket.

The left-handed batter also stitched a 50-run partnership with Harleen Deol before being dismissed by Zaida James, who went on to pick four more for West Indies, ending with figures of five for 45.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who returned from an injury that kept her from playing two of the three WT20Is, shared a 66-run stand with Harleen.
