Pakistan suffered its second-straight reverse in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 when it went down to India by six wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
It is now languishing at the bottom spot in Group A and its hopes of making the semifinals are hanging by a thread. Though it is still in contention, it needs other results to go its way.
First, it needs Bangladesh to defeat New Zealand in their match on Monday. In case the Kiwis win, Pakistan will be knocked out along with Bangladesh.
If Bangladesh beats New Zealand, Pakistan then needs to beat the Bangla Tigers in their last match and hope India beats New Zealand. In this case, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh will end up with two points each and the team with the best Net Run Rate will go through with India.
