This weekend, Indian Idol 15 on Sony Entertainment Television will feature a special episode celebrating Bollywood icon Sunny Deol. The actor, known for his powerful screen presence, will grace the show alongside his Jaat co-stars Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar to promote their upcoming film.

One of the highlights of the episode will be contestant Ragini, fondly known as ‘Idol ka Aashirvaad Face,’ delivering a soulful rendition of the classic song Jab Hum Jawaan Honge. Her performance leaves Sunny Deol deeply nostalgic. Reacting to it, he shares, “Ragini took me back to when we shot this song. It took us quite a few days because the weather kept changing, and we had to wait for the right conditions. But the entire film felt like a picnic. There was no tension, no overthinking — just pure fun. The way you sang the song, I was transported back to that time! I also remembered that Sonu Nigam ji played my childhood role in the movie.”
During the episode, rapper Badshah engages Deol in a candid conversation, asking when he realized he wanted to become an actor. Deol recalls, “In my childhood, I was quite distant from all this, but as they say, it’s in the genes. I grew up with my father, watched every film of his, and without consciously thinking about it, I ended up wanting the same. I was quite shy, so I went abroad and joined a theatre school where no one knew me. Slowly, confidence started building up. That’s where my journey began.”
