Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment’s action entertainer Kill is all set to have its TV premiere today on Star Gold. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the movie starred Lakshya as the protagonist while Raghav Juyal played his nemesis as a brutal head of dacoits. The film made India proud in various international film festivals and then had a successful run in the country.

EXCLUSIVE: Lakshya on Kill sequel, “The film is in the working stage”

Last year, after the film succeeded in India, Karan Johar of Dharma Productions said that they are planning a sequel to Kill. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Lakshya was asked about the status of the second part. He said, “Talks our going on. But to tell you honestly, I can’t say much as the film is in the working stage. So, once something concrete happens, I will be able to tell you more.”

Shooting Kill wasn’t easy, especially for the actors as there were a lot of injuries. When asked whether he would be okay to go through all of it again, Lakshya said unhesitatingly, “Bilkul! Main pagal actor hoon. If I am asked to do enormous hard work, I like that. I like when I keep getting injured. When I get less sleep and I am required to do more hard work, I enjoy that,” he said.

Answering what kept the team going despite such injuries and other issues while shooting, Lakshya said, “I think we were all mad (laughs). We all were equally mad and hungry, I would say. Me, Raghav and others were at the point of our careers where we had to prove something or the other. I was waiting (for the film to release) as I had just left TV. Nikhil sir had done four films and he hadn’t got what he deserved. So, I think all our synergies had matched.”

The actor added, “We were all hungry and we were having fun. While shooting, we never realized what we were doing. We never thought this film will become this way. We didn’t know it will go to Toronto and will be such well-received in India. We hadn’t thought about anything. We were honest and genuine.”

Kill starred Tanya Maniktala as Lakshya’s love interest.
