The Indian Premier League 2025 fixture between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants, scheduled to be held at the Eden Gardens on April 6, has been shifted to Guwahati.
This comes after the Kolkata Police and the local authorities informed the Cricket Association of Bengal officials that they won’t be in a position to provide adequate security for the fixture due to Ram Navami festivities, coinciding on the same day.
Sources told Sportstar that with a packed schedule, it was difficult to reschedule the fixture. Hence, it was decided to shift the game to Guwahati, which will host two home games of Rajasthan Royals on March 26 and 30.

Last year, too, a similar situation arose when KKR’s match coincided with Ram Navami, leading to a rescheduling.
While KKR will play CSK in Chennai on April 11, LSG will host Gujarat Titans at home on April 12.
