Urvashi Rautela is turning up the heat with her new song ‘Touch Kiya’ from Sunny Deol’s latest release Jaat. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress spoke about how this song stands apart from her previous projects.
EXCLUSIVE: Urvashi Rautela on her song ‘Touch Kiya’ from Jaat, “It’s not just dance, I am following the characteristics of a lioness”
Urvashi said, “It’s the first single from our film called Jaat. It’s called ‘Sorry Bol Touch Kiya’.” She further revealed that the phrase plays a key role in the movie’s narrative. “When you must have seen the trailer and teaser, Sunny ji is repeatedly saying ‘sorry bol, sorry bol,’ in a similar manner, the girl is also saying, ‘I will give my heart to you, but first say sorry. I will take your heart, but first say sorry’ (Dil tujhko hi doongi pehle sorry bol, dil tera hi loongi pehle sorry bol). So, you will understand the significance of ‘Sorry bol’ when you watch the film on 10th April.”
Delving into the concept behind the choreography, Urvashi explained, “According to me, we haven’t just danced. It’s not just dance, I am just following the characteristics and personality of a lioness.” She added that the music, composed by Thaman S, incorporates a lot of animal sounds, especially those of lions and lionesses, influencing her movements. “It’s very, very fierce. It has a lot of the essence of a lioness. So, I’m just playing the character of a lioness, that’s it.”
The film also marks her reunion with Sunny Deol, who launched her in Bollywood. “It’s after 12 years! You know, sir had launched me, he gave me my big Bollywood break as a leading actress in Singh Saab The Great. I really hope I have made him proud in my journey,” she said.
Expressing her excitement for Jaat, Urvashi said, “I really hope that Jaat, our film, breaks even the record of Gadar 2, that’s what I really hope happens!”
