In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, actress and beauty queen Urvashi Rautela opened up about exploring new territories and venturing into OTT platforms.
EXCLUSIVE: Urvashi Rautela on working in OTT in the future, “If there’s an interesting role, then why not?”
While talking about entering the digital space, Urvashi expressed, “Why not! If there’s something interesting in terms of the subject, I would definitely like to do it. And anyway, films eventually release on OTT too. If there’s an interesting role and if I like the subject with an interesting director, then why not?”
Known for her glamorous roles in films, Urvashi is equally open to experimenting with genres on OTT. “A period film, maybe action, maybe playing the role of a queen,” she added, hinting at her desire to take on powerful, diverse characters.
While her journey includes experiences like judging Miss Universe as the youngest-ever judge and working in Kaabil alongside Hrithik Roshan, Urvashi remains focused on the future. “The good moments came, and I experienced them well at that time. Now I really hope even bigger moments come in life”, she reflected.
Addressing the perception around her pageant background overshadowing her acting credentials, Urvashi stated, “It’s an added bonus! If you look at Gal Gadot, Halle Berry, Priyanka Chopra, they all came from beauty pageants. It has a lot of advantages.”
As an outsider in the industry, Urvashi has faced her fair share of challenges. Acknowledging them, she said, “It’s very challenging for all outsiders. But my heart goes out to them. I’m proud of all of them, including myself!”
