Sri Lankan pacer Eshan Malinga will make his Indian Premier League debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during the game against Punjab Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The right-arm medium-fast pacer was roped in by SRH in the mega auction in December for INR 1.20 Cr.
The 24-year-old, who has been a constant inclusion in the Sri Lanka A side, earned a maiden national team call-up for the ODI series against New Zealand in January. He was subsequently included in the ODI series against Australia in February.
Malinga managed to scalp four wickets in five ODIs, with an economy rate of 6.03. In T20s, he has 17 wickets to his name in 16 outings, with an economy of 7.70.
