Rajasthan Royals’ Shubham Dubey became the first Impact Player to be introduced in a Super Over during an IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday.
Dubey replaced Maheesh Theekshana before Royals’ bowling effort in the Super Over.
This was after Royals missed out on using the Impact Player during the regulation game.
Dubey though had no impact in the game as Delhi Capitals romped home with two balls to spare in the first Super Over of IPL 2025.
This was the 15th Super Over in IPL and the first in nearly four years. For Rajasthan Royals’ it was its fourth and for DC it was the fifth.
