Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost to Mumbai Indians by nine wickets at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
This was CSK’s sixth loss of the Indian Premier League 2025 season. The side sits in the last place in the points table with just four points from eight games.
The five-time champion is still not knocked out of the competition. In last season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru qualified for the Playoffs with 14 points. However, it needed a robust Net Run Rate.
CSK can still reach a maximum of 16 points if it wins all its remaining games. Hence, it can still advance to Playoffs. The MS Dhoni-led side also needs to ensure it wins by big margins to improve its Net Run Rate.
