Sharing a photo with Zeenat Aman, Ishaan Khatter wrote, “Officially claiming the title of ‘Gen Zee’ for the crown jewel of our show. Zeenat ji I can’t decide if it was more of a joy or a privilege to share the screen and space with you. You bring an elegance, grace and ???????????????? that is truly irreplaceable and I think I can speak for us all when I say @thezeenataman we adore you. Fans are in for a royal treat with #TheRoyalsOnNetflix on May 9th.” Fans quickly reacted, dropping heart emojis in the comment section and expressing their excitement for the show.
The makers recently released a trailer for Netflix’s The Royals, which has captured everyone’s hearts. The trailer offers a first glimpse into the grand yet fading city of Morpur, where an endearing prince and a determined CEO are forced to team up—and maybe fall in love. The series stars Ishaan Khatter as Aviraaj Singh, a reluctant, polo-playing new-age Rajkumar, and Bhumi Pednekar as Aam Kumari Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, a fiercely driven CEO with dreams bigger than any palace. As they join forces to transform Morpur’s struggling haveli and its quirky residents into a luxury B&B experience, their clash of egos and ambitions sparks a whirlwind of flirtation, family feuds, and high-stakes frenzy.
Ishaan Khatter added, “To share the screen with such legendary and accomplished actors has been inspiring and a joy. This marks my second collaboration with Netflix globally and my first with Netflix India and it has been an adventure yet again.
