Day 2 of WAVES Summit 2025 began on a rocking note as Aamir Khan attended a session along with Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus, Ajay Bijli of PVR Inox, Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment and Hollywood producer Charles Roven of Oppenheimer (2023) fame. With Namit Malhotra being a part of the session, the topic veered towards his much-awaited film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Namit revealed that they attempt to take the Nitesh Tiwari-directorial to the farthest corners of the world using AI.

Confessing that “Language is a challenge,” Namit Malhotra said, “From our standpoint, we are making a story that we believe is from India but meant for the world. What Aamir Khan said is right – it’s about being authentic about our culture, our characters and stories. But we are garnishing it with the right mix of talent and technology. We want to make it feel local to the world. With the use of some technology, we are attempting to localize the film in languages with performances. It means it should play in English with lip-sync; without subtitles or dubbed versions. In Spain, it should be in Spanish and in Japan, it should be in Japanese. This is possible because of technology.”
He added, “Hence, we are trying to take our stories and maintain the authenticity of our characters and leverage it in such a manner that the world is not challenged by the expression.”
At an earlier point, Namit Malhotra revealed, “We worked on a Hollywood film called Here (2024). It has Tom Hanks in the lead and he’s close to 70 in real life. We brought him back to his screen age of 25. If you see the quality of what has been achieved, it is absolutely unprecedented.”
He further said, “Today, we can make Aamir be 25 forever.” Aamir Khan raised laughs as he joked, “I am 25 forever!”
