Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor recently shared that she no longer holds personal opinions about people as she once did. She admitted that when she was younger, she had too many opinions, which she now considers “immature.” However, with age, she has come to realize that it’s better to listen than to speak, and that some opinions are better kept to herself.

While speaking with Vogue India, Sonam Kapoor shared, “When I was young, I had too many opinions. With age, you realise it’s better to listen than to speak. I don’t have personal opinions on people anymore, like I did. That wasn’t nice. It was immature.” Sonam, who often speaks up on social media about environmental and socio-political issues, said that she has always been clear about her beliefs, and that she doesn’t give in to leading questions anymore for clickbait headlines.

She said, “I’ve been clear about my beliefs and I don’t give in to leading questions anymore for clickbait headlines. If someone asks me a question, they already know what my stance is. I’ve said everything there is to say.”

In the past, Sonam Kapoor frequently made headlines for her controversial statements, especially those made on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan. Last year, in an interview with Dirty Magazine, the actress confessed, “You know, I always thought I was non-judgmental, but then I realised that I was like, the most judgy human being on this planet.” Reflecting on her past remarks, she added that if she had said those things today, in the era of social media, she would be cancelled and crucified.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen in Shome Makhija’s crime thriller Blind (2023), which also starred Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillette Dubey in supporting roles. Sonam has also revealed that her next project will be Battle for Bittora, based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel.
