Pacer Kranti Goud received her maiden India call-up as she replaced the injured Kashvee Gautam in the ongoing women’s ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka.

Kashvee, who made her ODI debut in the opening match of the series, suffered an injury during India’s three-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

The Gujarat Giants pacer, who picked 11 wickets in the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), had her maiden international tournament cut short when she had to walk off the field after bowling just five overs.

Meanwhile, Kranti – a right-arm seamer – received her first call-up to the national team on May 5 at 11:30 pm. The Madhya Pradesh player has played eight matches for UP Warriorz in the WPL, picking up six wickets across eight innings.

Goud was picked in the WPL on the back of a successful Senior Women’s ODI Trophy, where her 15 wickets, including a four-for in the final against Bengal, helped Madhya Pradesh win its maiden title.
