Operation Sindoor Impact: PSL match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings rescheduled

The Pakistan Super League match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, which was set to be played on May 8 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, was rescheduled, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board, in consultation with all the stakeholders, has decided to reschedule tonight’s HBL PSL X match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. The PCB will announce the revised date in due course,” the board said in a statement.

The announcement comes amid escalating military tension between India and Pakistan.

India, on Wednesday, hit nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), 15 days after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 that left 26 civilians dead. The targeted sites included Bahawalpur, a known Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) stronghold, and Muridke, the base of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), among others.

A day later, the Ministry of Defence said that Pakistan’s military attempted to strike back, aiming at military targets in Northern and Western India — specifically Adampur, Bhatinda, and Chandigarh. The Indian defence establishment stated that these attempts were foiled.
