The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final, which was scheduled to be played on May 25, has now been moved to a later date, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday.
The tournament was put on hold on Friday, May 9, after tensions escalated between India and Pakistan, with the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on May 8 being postponed midway.
After the two neighbours agreed to a ‘full and immediate ceasefire’, the BCCI sped up the process of resuming IPL, announcing the new IPL schedule for the remaining part of the tournament.
WHEN IS THE IPL 2025 FINAL?
The IPL 2025 final will be played on May 30 instead of May 25. Though the venue for the summit clash was Eden Gardens according to the old schedule, the new schedule does not mention a confirmed stadium yet.
The 18th edition of the IPL is in its final stretch with 16 matches left, including the playoffs. Gujarat Titans is leading the points table with 16 points with seven teams involved in the race for the playoffs.
