Finn Allen shattered the record of hitting most sixes in a T20 innings when he smacked 19 maximums during a Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 match between San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom on Thursday.
Playing for the Unicorns, Allen went past Chris Gayle and Sahil Chauhan’s jointly held record of clearing the fence 18 times in a T20 knock.
Allen, who hails from New Zealand, smashed 151 off 51 balls as San Francisco scored 269 for five – the highest total in the tournament history. The opening batter scored his century off 34 balls and later got to his 150 off just 49 balls, which is now the fastest 150 in T20s.
In total, 134 of Allen’s runs came through boundaries.
Allen’s heroics helped the Unicorns begin the new season with a huge 123-run win against Glenn Maxwell-led Washington, who got bowled out for mere 146.
