Stand-up comedian and reality TV personality Munawar Faruqui has once again praised Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, acknowledging his significant role during Munawar’s time on Bigg Boss 17. Frequently vocal about his respect for Salman, Munawar recently shared that the actor’s support helped him remain composed and determined through challenging moments on the show.

In a conversation with Zoom, Munawar referred to Salman Khan as a “visionary.” He explained, “When Bhai explains something, and whenever you see him on TV or elsewhere, you hear so many people praising him. The reason you hear so much praise is because the people around him, those who live or work closely with him, respect him a lot.”
Munawar went on to say, “That’s because when Bhai speaks, there’s a lot of knowledge you can pick up from his words. Listening to him can genuinely help you in life. I think the people who truly care for him do so because he’s not only visionary, but also highly experienced. He understands the world and people very well. He is very kind and has a good heart.”
The comedian-turned-actor also looked back on a pivotal moment in his life, shaped by financial hardship and emotional distress. Recalling a medical emergency involving his father in 2009, Munawar shared that the experience led to a profound realisation about the importance of money and the struggle for survival.
“This impact happened in 2009 when there was a medical emergency at home,” Munawar recalled. He spoke about how they couldn’t even afford basic medicines at the time, which broke his earlier belief that simply “earning enough to eat” was sufficient. That incident became a turning point, pushing him to work harder and transform his financial circumstances.
On the work front, Munawar recently made his acting debut with First Copy, a web series directed by Farhan Zamma. The show premiered on Amazon MX Player on June 20, 2025, and features Krystle D’Souza and Gulshan Grover alongside him. Before this, Munawar hosted Hafta Vasooli and rose to fame through his appearances on popular reality shows like Bigg Boss 17 and Lock Upp.
