Dewald Brevis will make his Test debut alongside Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Codi Yusuf as South Africa announced its playing XI against Zimbabwe for the opening game at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Friday.
Keshav Maharaj will lead the new look young South African side in the two-match away Test series starting June 28.

While Brevis and Pretorius will make up the middle order, the 27-year-old Yusuf will be part of the pace department alongside Corbin Bosch and Kwena Maphaka.
