The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Monday confirmed that Yashasvi Jaiswal was available for selection for its side after the body’s Apex Council approved the withdrawl of his request for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
“Yashasvi has always been a proud product of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted Jaiswal’s withdrawal NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai in the forthcoming domestic season.” said president Ajinkya Naik in a statement.
The southpaw in April had requested a move to Goa for which he had sought the NOC from the board. However, he notified the MCA about the withdrawl of his request just a month later.
Though Jaiswal did not announce the reason behind the initial request for a change, news reports claimed he sought a leadership role and hence wanted a move away from Mumbai.
