The Indian women’s cricket team hosts West Indies in the first of a three-match T20I series at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.
After the three 20-over matches, the sides are scheduled to play a three-match ODI series in Vadodara, Gujarat December 22 onwards.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will be looking to get the series going with a win and put the whitewash it suffered at the hands of the Australians Down Under behind itself.
For the Windies, this would be the first piece of action after a fairly successful T20 World Cup, where they fell short in the semifinal, losing to eventual champion New Zealand by eight runs.
