India registered a comprehensive victory in the first ODI, winning by six wickets courtesy of impressive knocks by Pratika Rawal and Tejal Hasabnis, as well as an explosive innings by stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana. Smriti is currently captaining India as full-time captain Harmanpreet Kaur is resting for the series.
A collective batting performance headlined by Jemimah Rodrigues’ maiden hundred formed the cornerstone of India’s commanding 116-run win against Ireland in the second fixture.
