New Zealand batter Tom Latham on Wednesday scored a One-Day International century after 27 months during the side’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan in Karachi.

Latham’s previous century came against India in Auckland in November 2022. He took 32 innings before scoring his next against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy opener.

Among New Zealand batters, former captain Stephen Fleming holds the record for taking the most number of innings between two centuries. Fleming took 110 innings between 1998 and 2003 to score two centuries.

The left-hand batter is also just the fifth Kiwi batter to record a century in the competition. Will Young became the fourth batter earlier in the contest with his 107.

Latham’s unbeaten 118 got New Zealand to 320 runs against Pakistan.
