Rajgir, Bihar, will host the Asia Cup 2025 from August 29 to September 7 at the newly developed Rajgir Hockey Stadium, following the signing of an MoU between Hockey India and the Bihar State Sports Authority.
This will be Rajgir’s second major international event, after successfully hosting the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024, where India emerged victorious.
The 12th edition of the tournament will feature eight teams, including India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China, and Malaysia, with the remaining two securing their spots through the AHF Cup.
South Korea is the most successful team in the tournament’s history, having won five titles, followed by India and Pakistan with three each.
Notably, the Asia Cup will serve as a qualifier for the 2026 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup, with the winner earning a direct berth.
