Mohammed Siraj on Sunday recorded his best bowling figures in the Indian Premier League during Gujarat Titans’ match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Siraj claimed four for 17, bettering his previous best haul of four for 21 which came for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Punjab Kings in 2023. This was only the third four-wicket haul for Siraj in the IPL.
“I am really enjoying. I had a rest, so was working on my bowling, my fitness and my mentality. Body is fresh, so I am really enjoying my bowling,” Siraj told the broadcaster after the innings.
The 31-year-old removed Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh. His spell was crucial in restricting the home side to 152 for eight.
With this effort, Siraj moved into the second spot in the Purple Cap standings. He now has nine wickets in four games.
