Rohit Sharma registered his first fifty-plus score of the IPL 2025 season during the match against Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai on Sunday.
Rohit, who came as to open the innings as an Impact sub, reached his fifty in 33 balls in a 177-run chase at the Wankhede Stadium. This is his 44th IPL half-century.
Before today, Rohit had scored just 82 runs in the first six innings of this season with the best of 26 off 16 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Against CSK, this is Rohit’s ninth fifty-plus score including a century, which came in the IPL 2024.
