Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Vaibhav Arora expressed satisfaction with his development as a death bowler, crediting the guidance of bowling coach Bharat Arun and Dwayne Bravo for his recent improvement.

“I was bowling with the new ball last year as well, so this year I worked on my death bowling in the pre-season camp as well,” Arora said in the post-match press conference after their match against Punjab Kings being washed off.

“With Bharat sir and DJ Bravo, I’ve been working a lot on my death bowling skills, and I am getting the results for that also,” the 27-year-old added.

Speaking after KKR’s match was washed out due to rain, Arora remained upbeat about the team’s prospects in the tournament. “If the match had happened, we would have tried to win the two points and carry the momentum for the tournament ahead, but unfortunately, the match didn’t happen, so it’s better to have one point than nothing,” he said.

Arora added that the team is keeping a positive mindset as qualification scenarios remain open: “It might also happen that we will qualify with just one point. So we will take this positively and try to win the next games.”
