Andre Russell’s half-century helped the host post a target of 206 before Riyan Parag’s highest IPL score kept RR in with a chance the end, despite losing five wickets for 71 runs.
The win kept KKR in the hunt for a top-four spot, trailing fourth-placed Punjab Kings by two points, although it has played a game more.
Rajasthan remained in eighth place despite the loss, staying ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad thanks to a better Net Run Rate.
