Ravindra Jadeja surpassed Dwayne Bravo to become Chennai Super Kings’ all-time highest IPL wicket-taker during the encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.
The left-arm-spinner dismissed Ajinkya Rahane to register his 141st wicket for the Yellow Army in the T20 competition, eclipsing Bravo’s tally of 140 wickets.
Jadeja has picked up 168 wickets in the IPL in 251 matches at an economy rate of 7.65 and an average of 30.46. The all-rounder has also contributed 3142 runs with the bat in his career, at an average of 27.32 and strike rate of 129.57.
R. Ashwin is third on the all-time list with 95 wickets, ahead of Deepak Chahar and Albie Morkel, who have 76 wickets each. Jadeja still trails Bravo in the race for most T20 wickets for the franchise. The spinner has 150 wickets for CSK trailing the West Indian all-rounder by four.
